Theme of the Year 2015 - 2016: Shine Your Light

3 students of Classes XI - XII - Tanushri Shah, Shristi Saraff and Anjali Kanodia - organised an Art exhibition Frames in the ICCR (Jamini Roy Gallery) on 12 and 13 May.The exhibition featured 27 paintings and 2 sculptures, works they had created over the span of the past 2 years. A unique feature of the exhibition was the collaboration of these 3 MHS students with 26 children from the NGOs Disha, Ektara and Bhasha. Not only did they exhibit the work of these talented NGO children but also gave them the opportunity to learn some techniques which would enhance their art skills. 4 workshops were organized for the NGO children - two on Origami and its application on 12 May and two workshops on the use of oil pastels and charcoal on 13 May.

The exhibition was a celebration of art and creativity and was extremely well received by the viewers.
Students of the Sahyog Club gave a Donation of Rs. 10,000/- by cash for treatment of the poor child patients of the Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre & Research Institute on 17th May, 2016.
As part of their Economics project, Suhasini Das Gooptu, Snehal Modi, Angada Agarwal, Ruchika Chandak and Shreya Murarka, five members of class XI, have decided to conceptualise a garden ecosystem for the sustainable development of MHS school garden. The group decided to plant Neem saplings in the school garden, which would act as a natural organic pesticide, reducing the use of chemical pesticides that have adverse effects on the ecosystem.

Awards and Accolades

Pranjoli Das of Class X will be felicitated in Delhi in the first week of July. She is one of the selected 10 National Winners from around 5000 entries. This is quite an achievement!
Juhi Sachdev was selected as one of the top ten city finalists from Kolkata for the IIHM Young Chef India Schools 2016.The episode featuring the competition will be aired on NDTV Good Times on the 5th of June, 8pm onwards. Do watch and vote for her !
MHS students attended Mayo MUN and Mayo College, Ajmer, accompanied by Ms. S. Sen from 14th to 17th April. Our students won various awards.
